Are you a dedicated and experienced Adult Social Worker looking for a challenging contract opportunity? We are seeking a skilled Adult Social Worker to join Newcastle City Council on an initial 12 week contract. This would be based within a Community Mental Health Social Work Team within Adult Social Care. This is an excellent chance to contribute to crucial mental health services while working within a supportive team environment.

Candidate Responsibilities for the Adult Social Worker N8 Role:
- Provide expert social work support within the Community Mental Health Social Work Team
- Assess needs and develop care plans for adults with mental health difficulties
- Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies
- Engage with clients to promote independence and well-being
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive case records in line with legal and organizational standards
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and training sessions as required
- Proven experience working within adult social care, especially mental health
- Social worker qualification (e.g., CQSW, DIPSW, or equivalent)
- Knowledge of mental health legislation and safeguarding procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Registered with Social Work England or relevant regulatory body
- Competitive rate of pay
- Initial 12-week contract with potential for extension
