Adult Social Worker – Statutory Adult Social Care / Mental Health
Location: Rochdale Borough County Council
Salary:£35 Umbrella Per hour (£36.27 PAYE)
Contract type: Full time, 37 hours per week - Initially 3 months, potential to be extended

We are working on behalf of Rochdal Borough County Council and are seeking an experienced Adult Social Worker to join a dynamic, supportive team delivering statutory adult social care and mental health services. This is an exciting opportunity to hold a manageable caseload, work collaboratively with co-located colleagues from Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of adults in the community.

What We’re Looking For You must have demonstrated experience in the following:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in statutory adult social care and/or adult mental health services
• Registered with Social Work England
• Full driving licence for work purposes
• Willingness to work predominantly from the office, with some flexibility to work from home
• Satisfactory DBS check and references
• Experience undertaking assessments of need under the Care Act and s117 Mental Health Act
• Conducting Mental Capacity Assessments and leading Best Interest meetings
• Reviewing services and forming care plans
• Facilitating safe hospital discharges
• Statutory safeguarding of adults, including concerns, enquiries, and case conferences
• Undertaking duty functions, including triaging referrals
• Strong knowledge and understanding of adult social care legislation

Desirable:

• Experience completing Social Circumstance Reports
• Experience of Court of Protection work, including s21A challenge work

The Role

• Hold a caseload and manage cases efficiently
• Undertake all statutory adult social care functions as above
• Participate in the duty rota and Social Circumstance Report rota
• Work in partnership with colleagues from Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust
• Contribute to a supportive, collaborative working environment
