Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) / Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP)

Location: Nottingham

Service Care Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Advanced Clinical Practitioner to support a well-established GP Surgery in Nottingham. This opportunity is available on a temporary/locum, temp-to-perm, or permanent basis, depending on candidate preference and suitability.
 

Working Pattern
  • Ideally Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays (1 - 3 days per week)

  • 8:00am – 6:30pm

  • Some flexibility may be considered


Pay / Salary
  • Locum: £45 LTD per hour or £39 PAYE Inclusive per hour

  • Permanent: Salary dependent on experience


Role Overview The successful candidate will work autonomously within a multidisciplinary primary care team, delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to patients across all age groups. The role requires confident clinical decision-making and the ability to independently assess, diagnose, treat and manage a range of acute and chronic conditions.


Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake comprehensive patient assessments including history taking, clinical examination, diagnosis and treatment planning

  • Independently manage minor illness presentations and undifferentiated conditions

  • Prescribe safely and effectively in line with independent prescribing qualification

  • Request, interpret and act upon diagnostic tests and investigations

  • Support the management of long-term conditions including asthma, COPD, diabetes and hypertension

  • Provide health promotion and preventative care advice

  • Refer patients appropriately to secondary care or community services

  • Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records using SystmOne

  • Work collaboratively with GPs and the wider multidisciplinary team

  • Contribute to clinical governance, audit and quality improvement initiatives


Essential Requirements
  • Qualified ANP or ACP, with Full Level 7 Master’s qualification

  • Independent Prescribing qualification (V300)

  • Experience working within Primary Care / GP Surgery

  • Proficiency in SystmOne

  • Ability to work autonomously and manage clinical risk effectively
