About the Role As an Advanced Practitioner, you will:
- Manage complex cases involving some of the most vulnerable children in our community.
- Provide professional and comprehensive casework for a caseload of children and young people appropriate to your experience.
- Support children with disabilities and their families, maintaining a safeguarding approach at all times.
- Prepare reports, statements, and care plans for Family Proceedings, County, and High Courts.
- Work collaboratively with families, carers, and multi-agency partners to deliver needs-led services.
- Use a range of therapeutic skills and interventions to ensure children reach their full potential.
- Mentor and guide less experienced colleagues, providing supervision and professional support.
- Oversee transition plans for young people moving into adulthood.
- Allocate and review direct work with Family Support Workers, monitoring outcomes and impact.
- Maintain accurate case records using ICT and report on key performance data.
- Ensure all work complies with statutory requirements, council policies, and best practice guidance.

- A qualified and experienced social worker with relevant post-qualification experience.
- Skilled in safeguarding, assessment, and care planning.
