Duty Advice & Support Worker (Front Door)
Location: Staffordshire
Contract: Ongoing Temporary Assignment
Hours: Full-Time
Staffordshire County Council is seeking a dedicated and proactive Duty Advice & Support Worker to join their Front Door (Staffordshire Children’s Advice & Support – SCAS) team.
About the Role As part of Staffordshire’s “Front Door” service, you will play a key role in ensuring that children, young people, and families receive the right help at the right time. You’ll act as the first point of contact for professionals and members of the public, offering advice, guidance, and support in line with the “Think Family” principles.

You will:
- Provide a professional response to all initial contacts and enquiries.
- Offer advice, guidance, and signposting to families and professionals.
- Obtain and record accurate information to support decision-making on referrals.
- Use electronic recording systems to maintain up-to-date and detailed case information.
- Work collaboratively with team members and the Team Manager to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Uphold Staffordshire’s core values of being Ambitious, Courageous, and Empowering in every aspect of your work.
Essential Requirements:
- GCSE English (or equivalent).
- Experience using computer-based information systems.
- Understanding of safeguarding and early help principles.
- Ability to work flexibly as part of a team in a busy environment.
- A full UK driving licence (casual car user designation).
