Alarm Systems Engineer
Location: Salisbury (100% on-site)
Contract: 21 months
Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
Pay Rate: £493.63 per day PAYE exclusive / £670 per day Umbrella
About the Role:
Deliver the implementation of a site-wide alarm management framework across high-hazard laboratory environments, ensuring compliance with EEMUA 191 and relevant safety regulations.
You will translate policy into practical, facility-specific alarm strategies, enabling safe, compliant, and effective operations.

About the Role:

You will translate policy into practical, facility-specific alarm strategies, enabling safe, compliant, and effective operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adapt and implement the site-wide alarm philosophy in line with EEMUA 191
- Produce detailed, facility-specific alarm management documentation
- Configure and optimise alarm systems across multiple platforms
- Lead stakeholder engagement across technical and operational teams
- Design and deliver a lab-wide implementation and capability uplift plan
- Upskill internal personnel to ensure sustainable alarm management practices
- Ensure compliance with DSEAR, HS&EP, and wider safety obligations
Essential skills and experience:
- Proven background in industrial alarm systems and control environments
- Hands-on experience applying EEMUA 191 principles
- Experience implementing policy/process within complex or high-hazard environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement across technical and non-technical teams
- Demonstrated ability to lead delivery in ambiguous or evolving environments
- Hands-on experience with one or more of:
- Trend
- Vista
- Schneider Systems / EcoStruxure
- Saulter Systems
- Ability to:
- Interpret and configure alarm systems
- Optimise alarm performance
- Maintain system integrity in complex environments
