We're working exclusively on behalf of one of the South of England's leading housing providers to recruit an experienced Asbestos Project Manager to join their established Compliance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Asbestos Consultant, Surveyor or Analyst looking to take the next step into project management, or for an existing Asbestos Project Manager seeking a role where they can genuinely make a difference to resident safety across a large residential property portfolio.
You'll take ownership of asbestos remedial programmes from initial scope through to successful completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and in full compliance with current legislation.
Reporting into the Senior Asbestos Project Manager, you'll be responsible for managing asbestos remedial works across an assigned geographical region, while supporting wider operational areas when required.

Key responsibilities include:
- Managing asbestos remedial projects from inception through to completion.
- Specifying, scoping and delivering compliance programmes using approved contractors.
- Monitoring project performance, budgets and programme delivery.
- Carrying out quality inspections and auditing completed works to ensure compliance with specifications and Health & Safety legislation.
- Ensuring all asbestos works comply with current regulations, including CDM and Control of Asbestos Regulations.
- Managing contractor performance and maintaining high standards of customer service throughout every project.
- Handling customer enquiries and complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Identifying project risks, recording lessons learned and supporting continuous improvement.
- Completing compliance survey audits and ensuring accurate asset records are maintained.
- Working collaboratively with internal teams to improve processes and share best practice.
You'll ideally have:
- BOHS P402 or P403/P404 qualifications (or equivalent).
- Experience working within housing, construction, asbestos consultancy or contractor environments.
- Strong knowledge of asbestos legislation, risk management and compliance.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills.
- Experience managing contractors and multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to deliver best value.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (business use required). A company vehicle may be available where appropriate.
