A client within the Public Sector based in Hampshire is currently recruiting for an Asset Management Surveyor to join their Investment & Property Team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis, with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority commercial property environment.

To provide hands-on asset and estate management across a large and diverse commercial property investment portfolio, supporting income generation and delivery of the Council’s Annual Property Plan.

The Role
Key purpose of the role:
To provide hands-on asset and estate management across a large and diverse commercial property investment portfolio, supporting income generation and delivery of the Council’s Annual Property Plan.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Managing day-to-day estate and asset management duties across a commercial investment portfolio, including directly let and ground-leased properties
- Negotiating rent reviews, lease renewals, new lettings, surrenders, and dealing with dilapidations
- Handling landlord and tenant matters, including processing applications for landlord’s consent
- Managing multi-let properties, including service charge budgeting, income monitoring, and overseeing external letting/managing agents
- Providing property advice and input into project groups and undertaking property valuations as required
To be considered for this role you will require:
- RICS qualification (MRICS or FRICS)
- Proven experience in a commercial property / asset management role
- Strong knowledge of commercial leases and landlord & tenant legislation
- Experience working within a local authority or public sector environment
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Full UK driving licence and access to own transport
