Asset Management Surveyor

A client within the Public Sector based in Hampshire is currently recruiting for an Asset Management Surveyor to join their Investment & Property Team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis, with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority commercial property environment.

The Role
Key purpose of the role:
To provide hands-on asset and estate management across a large and diverse commercial property investment portfolio, supporting income generation and delivery of the Council’s Annual Property Plan.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Managing day-to-day estate and asset management duties across a commercial investment portfolio, including directly let and ground-leased properties
• Negotiating rent reviews, lease renewals, new lettings, surrenders, and dealing with dilapidations
• Handling landlord and tenant matters, including processing applications for landlord’s consent
• Managing multi-let properties, including service charge budgeting, income monitoring, and overseeing external letting/managing agents
• Providing property advice and input into project groups and undertaking property valuations as required

The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:

• RICS qualification (MRICS or FRICS)
• Proven experience in a commercial property / asset management role
• Strong knowledge of commercial leases and landlord & tenant legislation

The below skills would be beneficial for the role:

• Experience working within a local authority or public sector environment
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Full UK driving licence and access to own transport

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £55 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approximately £43 per hour PAYE).
