Asset Valuation Surveyor

A client within the Public Sector based in Nottingham is currently recruiting for an Asset Valuation Surveyor to join their Growth & City Development team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within an asset valuation environment.

The Role
Key purpose of the role is to support the Corporate Landlord and Finance Teams in delivering the Council’s asset valuation programme for 2025/26 and beyond.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Lead on the outsourcing of asset valuations, including ITT preparation, tender scoring and onboarding of external valuers.
• Act as primary contract manager for external valuation providers and key contact for audit queries.
• Source and apply appropriate indices to meet CIPFA code for the annual asset valuation programme.
• Oversee contract delivery, ensuring milestones, deadlines and compliance with Council financial procedures.
• Undertake asset valuations directly where required and carry out internal quality reviews of outsourced work.

The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:

• Chartered Surveyor (MRICS or FRICS) status.
• Registered Valuer accreditation.
• Strong experience of asset valuation within a local authority setting.

The below skills would be beneficial for the role:

• Knowledge of CIPFA code requirements.
• Experience of contract management and supplier oversight.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £450 per day Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £350 per day PAYE).
