Assistant Accountant

Job Title: Assistant Practice Accountant
Location: Preston (hybrid)
Salary: £26,000 - £42,000 Depending on Experience AND Qualifications

Service Care are delighted to be working with a growing Accountancy Firm in the heart of Preston. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience within an Accountancy Firm.  If you are looking for a new role within a modern and growing firm this could be the role for you!

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for your own portfolio of clients, acting as a main point of contact for these clients.
• Bookkeeping and VAT returns using accounting software.
• Accounts preparation up to review stage.
• Personal tax returns, primarily for directors and shareholders.
• First point of contact for any quires or concerns.

Skills and Requirements

• At least 3 years experience within an Accountancy Practice
• Experience of Bookkeeping and VAT returns
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience using Iris Accounting (desirable)
