Job Description
Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a local authority in West Yorkshire for an Assistant Finance Officer to join the team on a temporary basis. The postholder will be required to assist the Property Service team by providing day to day financial support in budget preparation and monitoring, and general financial tasks to help the service understand its finances.

Key Responsibilities

• Provision of high-quality financial support within agreed timescales and in accordance with statutory requirements, rules and procedures
• Assisting with the achievement of the finance service objectives,
• Maintenance of financial systems and contributing to development and improvement of those systems and processes
• Assisting and supporting members of the Home and Neighbourhoods team within the property service.

Candidate Criteria

• AAT qualified, degree in a relevant discipline, or demonstrable ability through experience.
• Proven experience working in a finance function providing financial support, ideally within local authority or public sector
• IT proficient, with experience using computerised financial systems, including Excel and Word.
• Committed to personal development and development of the service, providing constructive suggestions and ideas on service improvement.
