Salary: £15.66 per hour (Umbrella)
About the Role: The Assistant Plan Co-ordinator will manage the SEND Consultation process, supporting statutory duties related to children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The role involves high-level administrative responsibilities and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of statutory duties regarding Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
• Respond to customer enquiries across multiple channels, including sensitive and safeguarding-related issues.
• Provide advice and guidance on SEN processes to stakeholders.
• Promote digital transformation through the Council’s online portal.
• Administer statutory assessment panels, including tracking, minute-taking, and action dissemination.
• Handle procurement tasks and financial queries.
• Prepare documentation for panels, appeals, and tribunals.
• Manage complaints and challenging customer interactions professionally.
• Contribute to service development and team support.
• Process applications for needs assessments and EHCPs.
• Maintain stakeholder relationships and produce reports/statistics.
• Manage workloads and ensure timely responses.
• Maintain accurate electronic records and data.

Experience & Knowledge

• Experience working with legal/statutory processes and deadlines.
• Background in local government or large organisations.
• Handling confidential and sensitive information.
• Communicating effectively with diverse audiences.
• Managing demanding workloads and providing guidance.
• Data analysis and report production.
• Knowledge of relevant government services and policies.
• Understanding of the Data Protection Act and confidentiality.
• Overview of services for children, young people, and families.
