We are seeking a committed and compassionate Assisted Technology Emergency Responder Officer to join our vital front-line team supporting elderly and vulnerable residents across the community.

About the Role As an Emergency Responder Officer, you will play a key part in our Assisted Technology Service, installing and maintaining equipment such as personal alarms, fall detectors, door sensors and other emergency alert systems in clients’ homes.
When an alarm is triggered — whether due to a fall, health emergency or safety concern — you’ll be one of the first on the scene, providing reassurance, assistance and taking the necessary steps to ensure the individual’s wellbeing.

Your role will include:
- Installing and maintaining assistive technology devices in service users’ homes
- Responding to emergency activations, attending homes to provide urgent support
- Conducting equipment checks and troubleshooting technical faults
- Offering calm, compassionate support to vulnerable clients in distress
- Accurately recording all visits, incidents and outcomes
- Participating in a rota-based system, including evenings or unsocial hours when required
You will need:
- Confidence working with simple technical equipment and troubleshooting issues
- A calm, reassuring presence in emergency or high-pressure situations
- The ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
- A full UK driving licence (essential)
- Strong communication skills and a caring, professional attitude
- Flexibility to respond to emergency callouts, including some unsocial hours
