Contract Type: Temporary (3 months)
Hours: Full time (37 hours per week)
Salary: £12.22 per hour (PAYE) / £15.66 per hour (Umbrella)

To support the Senior Administration Officer in providing efficient and timely clerical and administrative support to the Education, Employment and Skills Service.

About the Role
To support the Senior Administration Officer in providing efficient and timely clerical and administrative support to the Education, Employment and Skills Service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to Skills for Work.
- Deliver general office and clerical services, including photocopying, filing, word processing, and handling post.
- Assist in maintaining Skills for Work social media presence.
- Provide reception duties and customer service.
- Process correspondence, reports, and documents to corporate standards.
- Maintain spreadsheets and databases for financial and non-financial information.
- Liaise with members of the public, suppliers, schools, and external stakeholders.
- Prepare and maintain statistical information, including performance indicators.
- Operate corporate computer systems, including finance systems.
- Arrange room bookings and take minutes.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Undertake any other duties appropriate to the post.
- Understanding and application of relevant technical knowledge, rules, and processes.
- Basic ICT skills and ability to operate tools and equipment.
- Awareness of data protection and security protocols.
- Ability to interpret straightforward information and suggest improvements.
- Experience as a proactive team member.
- Effective communication (spoken and written).
- Ability to manage workload and perform tasks accurately.
- Decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Sensitivity, diplomacy, and respect for equality and diversity.
- Good general education to Level 2 standard (or equivalent).
- Must comply with Equality Act 2010 provisions.
- May require recruitment checks (e.g., DBS).
