Job Title: Administrative Assistant – Educational Inclusion & Partnerships Team
Location: Onsite, Kettering, Northamptonshire (NN16 0SW)
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Duration: 3 months (with potential extension)
Pay: £17 per hour (UMB)

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to provide support to our Educational Inclusion & Partnerships Team. This is a full-time, onsite role based in Kettering, for an initial 3-month period, with the possibility to extend based on performance and service needs.
In this role, you will:
  • Perform general administrative duties such as data entry, file organization, correspondence, and document preparation
  • Assist with maintaining records for inclusion programs, partnerships, and outreach initiatives
  • Produce reports and spreadsheets supporting tracking, analysis, and reporting
  • Liaise with internal teams, schools, partners, and stakeholders
  • Provide high-quality, accurate support and respond to queries in a timely manner
Key Requirements: Excel & Assessment. This role places significant emphasis on advanced Excel skills. The successful candidate must have demonstrated experience in applications like:
  • Complex formulas, functions (VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, nested functions)
  • PivotTables, data summaries, filtering, sorting
  • Data validation, conditional formatting
  • Charting and visual data display
  • Possibly macros or VBA (advantageous, but not mandatory unless specified)
As part of the selection process:
  1. Excel Test: All candidates will complete a practical Excel test during the interview. Your test score will be a key factor in deciding whether you progress.
  2. Experience-Based Interview Questions: The formal interview will include questions focused on your past experiences—especially those requiring use of Excel in real-world settings.
  3. Screening Call: After CV submission, you’ll receive a preliminary call to confirm you have relevant Excel experience before moving forward.

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills

  • Trustworthy, reliable, and able to work onsite full-time
