Client: Derbyshire County Council
Contract Type: Temporary (3 months)
Hours: Full time (37 hours per week) – (14:00 – 22:00) or (07:00 – 15:00)
Salary: £12.22 per hour (PAYE) / £15.66 per hour (Umbrella)

To provide personal care and support to service users with complex and challenging needs, enabling them to have choice and control over their lives. The role focuses on improving independence, supporting individuals to remain at home if desired, enhancing quality of life, and promoting health and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver personal care, domestic tasks, medication, and health-related activities in line with agreed care plans
- Respond to emergencies and alert managers to changes in service user needs
- Support service users to engage in social activities and community networks
- Maintain accurate records including service plans, logs, and reviews
- Liaise with colleagues, agencies, and families to ensure coordinated care
- Comply with Equality, Health & Safety, and Risk Management policies
- Experience of caring for others (work-based, voluntary, or personal)
- Understanding and empathy for the needs of vulnerable people
- Knowledge of dignity and respect principles in care
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of service users
- Ability to follow routines and care plans, monitor changes, and record accurately
- Flexible approach to work (split shifts, evenings, weekends)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to travel as required
- No formal qualifications required initially
- Willingness to undertake QCF Level 2 Health and Social Care and associated training
- NVQ2/QCF Level 2 Health and Social Care desirable
