Job Title: Carpenter / Multi-trade Operative
Location: Islington
Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Pay Rate: £24 per hour

  About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for a skilled Carpenter / Multi-trade Operative to join the Homes & Neighbourhoods team in Islington.
The role will involve carrying out day-to-day carpentry repairs and multiskilled maintenance tasks across residential properties. You will be working in both occupied and void properties, ensuring all works are completed to a high standard with excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out all aspects of carpentry, including doors, locks, frames, floors, and kitchen units
• Undertake associated multi-trade work, such as minor plastering, tiling, or painting
• Ensure all work meets required safety standards and customer satisfaction
• Maintain accurate records of work completed
• Liaise with tenants and staff in a respectful and professional manner

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent qualification in Carpentry
• Proven multi-trade experience in domestic maintenance
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Strong understanding of health & safety procedures
• Full UK driving licence preferred (but not always essential)
