Centre Assistant – Chelmsford - Temporary - 3 months
Location: Chelmsford
Job Type: Part-time / 20 per week - Flexible Hours
Salary: £18.32 UMB - £13.85 Paye
Please Note: This is NOT a Care Assistant role.
We are specifically recruiting for a Centre Assistant to support the day-to-day running of our centre – helping with practical tasks and creating a welcoming environment for both children and adults.

 About the Role: As a Centre Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the centre is clean, well-maintained, and ready to welcome service users. Your responsibilities will include:

• Bed-making and room preparation
• Food prep (e.g., making sandwiches)
• General cleaning (hoovering, polishing, sweeping, washing floors)
• Supporting a clean and safe environment throughout the centre
• Engaging positively with children and adults who use the service

What We’re Looking For:

• Flexibility – essential due to the nature of the role and varied tasks
• A positive, can-do attitude
• Friendly and approachable, with confidence interacting with both children and adults
• Previous experience in a similar environment (cleaning, centre work, hospitality, etc.) is helpful but not essential

Location: This role is based in Chelmsford – please only apply if you are local or can reliably travel to the site.
