Service Care Legal are working with a local authority based in Kent who are seeking a Childcare Lawyer to join their team on a locum basis. Please find below further details regarding this position.
 
ROLE:                  Childcare Lawyer
LOCATION:          Kent / hybrid
CONTRACT:        3-month contract, 36 hours per week
RATE:                   £55.00ph umbrella / £48.48ph PAYE inc. holiday pay / £43.26ph PAYE exc. holiday pay
 
Please note that this role would require office attendance 1 or 2 days per week.
 
The Role

  • Handing a full caseload of childcare matters, providing advice on all aspects of public law children's matters
  • Attending PLO and legal planning meetings
  • Drafting documents, including statements and threshold agreements

The Person

  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or CILEX with a valid practising certificate
  • Strong experience in children’s law within the public sector.
  • Ability to independently manage a busy and complex caseload.
