Service Care Solutions is working with a well-regarded Local Authority, based in Bournemouth, which is seeking an experienced Childcare Lawyer to join their Legal Services team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive local authority environment, playing a key role in protecting vulnerable children and supporting frontline services.
Role: Childcare Lawyer
Location: Bournemouth – Local Authority – hybrid
Contract Length: 3 months ongoing
Umbrella Rate: £50 - £55ph
PAYE Inc. Rate: £44.06 - £48.41ph

Key Responsibilities
- Handle your own Childcare law caseload from start to completion.
- Represent the Council in childcare and education-related legal proceedings as required.
- Deliver clear, consistent, and accurate legal advice to officers, members, and internal clients on matters relating to children’s social care, child protection, and education.
- 3 years of PQE in Childcare law as a qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive in England and Wales.
- Strong advocacy experience with the ability to travel to court in Bournemouth when required.
- Ideally local authority experience of working within a Childcare legal team.
- Hybrid working.
- Weekly pay – the rate offered will depend on experience and interview performance.
- Flexible hours.
