Service Care Solutions is currently recruiting for an experienced Qualified Childcare Legal Officer to join a supportive and well-established Local Authority based in Doncaster.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled childcare lawyer to manage a varied caseload of public law matters, providing high-quality legal advice and representation to Children’s Services.
The contract is initially 3 months rolling, with potential for extension.
Job Title: Qualified Childcare Legal Officer
Location: Doncaster Hybrid Working)
Pay Rate: £50-£55 per hour (Umbrella) – PAYE (Inc.Hol) - £44.50 - £48.89
Working Pattern: Full-time, Hybrid (office attendance required as per service needs)

- Provide clear and pragmatic legal advice to Social Workers, senior officers, and elected members.
- Draft applications, statements, care plans, and other legal documentation.
- Prepare court bundles and ensure compliance with court directions and statutory deadlines.
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, FILEX, or experienced Legal Officer with substantial childcare law experience.
- Proven experience handling public law childcare matters within a Local Authority setting.
- Strong knowledge of care proceedings and court processes.
