Childcare Paralegal

Service Care Solutions is working in partnership with a local authority, based in Leicestershire, which is looking to appoint an experienced Childcare Paralegal to join their legal team. The position can be undertaken on a fully remote basis, with the option to work from the office once a week.
 
Role: Childcare Paralegal
Location: Leicestershire – Fully Remote or Office-Based Once a Week
Umbrella Rate: £25–£30 per hour
PAYE Inc. Rate: £21.87 - £26.22 per hour
Hours: 3 months ongoing, full-time, 37 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting solicitors with care proceedings and public law children matters, including case preparation and document drafting.
• Preparing court bundles, case summaries and evidence, while ensuring deadlines and case management requirements are met.
• Liaising with social workers, counsel, courts and other professionals, maintaining accurate records and providing general legal support.

Key Requirements:

• Experience within a childcare/public law legal team, ideally in a local authority setting, with knowledge of care proceedings and Children Act matters.
• Strong organisational, administrative and communication skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively within a busy legal team, handling a varied workload effectively.
