We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to lead the setup, registration, and launch of a brand-new 6-bed children’s residential home currently under construction and due for completion in June.
This is a unique opportunity to shape a service from the ground up, build your own team, and ensure the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance from day one.

About the Role
As Registered Manager, you will take full responsibility for establishing and leading the service, ensuring it is fully compliant and ready to provide outstanding care to children and young people.
You will play a key role in:
- Leading recruitment, induction, and development of a brand-new staff team
- Driving the home through Ofsted registration
- Embedding a positive, safe, and nurturing culture
- Lead, manage, and develop the full staff team, including:
- 2 Deputy Managers
- 3 Senior Residential Support Workers
- 10 Residential Support Workers (including 4 Waking Night staff)
- Handy Person, Cook, and Domestic Cleaner
- Oversee all onboarding, induction, and training processes
- Prepare for and manage the Ofsted registration process, including:
- Documentation and compliance
- Ofsted interview
- Registration visit
- Ensure the home is fully prepared for opening, maintaining high standards of:
- Safeguarding
- Care quality
- Regulatory compliance
- Provide flexibility for on-call duties and additional support when required
- QCF Level 3 (or equivalent) in Residential Childcare
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in children’s residential care within the last 5 years
- At least 1 year in a supervisory/management role within a care setting
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and children’s home standards
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare
(or willingness to enrol upon appointment)
- Must successfully complete an Ofsted Fit Person interview within 6 months of appointment
