We are currently recruiting for FOUR Children’s Residential Support Workers to join a dedicated, caring and supportive residential service in the Leyland area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Children’s Support Workers — as well as people with transferable experience from care, education, youth work or other support settings — to join a team where the young people really are at the centre of everything they do.

?? About the Role As a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will play a hugely important role in the everyday lives of the children and young people living within the service.

This isn't simply about providing care — it's about building relationships, creating stability, encouraging independence and helping young people to recognise their own potential.

You will become a trusted and consistent adult in the lives of young people who may have experienced significant challenges, instability or trauma.

Your responsibilities will include:

• ? Providing high-quality day-to-day care and support within a children's residential setting
• ? Building positive, trusting and meaningful relationships with children and young people
• ?? Providing emotional support, encouragement and reassurance
• ? Supporting young people with their emotional, behavioural and social development
• ? Encouraging independence, confidence and positive decision-making
• ? Supporting young people to achieve their individual goals and aspirations
• ? Following and contributing to individual care and support plans
• ?? Promoting safeguarding and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of young people at all times
• ? Working closely with colleagues and other professionals to provide consistent support
• ?? Communicating effectively with young people, colleagues, families and professionals
• ? Supporting young people to participate in activities, education, hobbies and community opportunities
• ? Celebrating achievements — both big and small — and helping young people develop a positive sense of self
• ? Responding calmly and professionally to challenging situations
• ? Maintaining accurate records and completing relevant documentation
• ? Being a positive role model and providing the consistency and boundaries young people need

• Children's residential care
• Residential childcare
• Foster care
• Supported accommodation
• Youth work
• Education
• SEN / SEND settings
• Social care
• Community support
• Family support
• Mental health or behavioural support
• Other relevant care or support environments

However, the right attitude is just as important as experience.

A relevant NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People is highly desirable, but we are also interested in candidates who have strong relevant experience and transferable skills.

? NVQ Level 3? Even Better! Candidates holding a relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification may be eligible for the higher rate of:

? £13.50 PER HOUR Candidates without the qualification can still be considered, with rates starting from:
