Rate of Pay:

• PAYE: £30.50 per hour
• Umbrella: £38.43 per hour

Working Pattern:

• Hybrid working with 2-3 office-based days per week

Contract:

• Initial 3 month contract with potential for extension

Service Care Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Children's Safeguarding Social Worker to join Vale of Glamorgan Council's Safeguarding Team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive local authority, undertaking safeguarding and intake work while managing a varied caseload to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of children and families within safeguarding services.
• Undertake assessments, interventions and care planning.
• Complete child protection and safeguarding work in line with statutory requirements.
• Participate in duty responsibilities on a rotational basis.
• Carry out intake work, including private law proceedings within the Vale of Glamorgan.
• Work collaboratively with families, partner agencies and multi-disciplinary professionals.

Requirements

• Qualified Social Worker.
• Registered with Social Care Wales.
• Previous experience within Children's Safeguarding Services.
• Strong assessment, report writing and court work skills.
• Knowledge of relevant childcare legislation and safeguarding procedures.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload and work effectively as part of a team.
