Salary: £37.14 Per hour UMBRELLA (£28.35 PAYE)
Contract: Full time - Initially 3 months - potential to extend

Key Responsibilities Assessment & Risk Management
- Undertake comprehensive, strength-based assessments of children in need and their families.
- Ensure child protection enquiries are conducted thoroughly and within statutory timescales.
- Respond to crises and intervene to protect children from harm.
- Identify risks and implement robust safety plans for children and families.
- Work closely with multi-agency partners, including police, schools, and health professionals.
- Contribute to creating a “team around the child” approach to ensure holistic support.
- Manage a caseload of complex, high-risk cases.
- Produce high-quality reports, recommendations, and documentation to support legal proceedings or access to services.
- Engage with children and families to understand their needs, strengths, and resilience.
- Build strong, trusting relationships to support long-term positive outcome

- Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England (SWE).
- Experience in children’s social care, ideally within assessment and safeguarding roles.
- Strong assessment, safeguarding, and case management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multi-agency teams.
- Committed to child-focused, relationship-based practice.
