Location: Vale of Glamorgan, Wales
Salary: £36.88 UMB per hour (£28.15 PAYE)
Contract: Full time, 12 week Contract
Working Style: Hybrid, 2-3 days int he office (Including duty days)

Working on behalf of Vale fo Glamorgan Council, We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Social Worker to join their Intake Team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that values professionalism, kindness, and clear communication, making a real difference to individuals and families across the Vale.

About the Role:
As an Intake Team Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding and supporting children and families. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting Section 47 child protection investigations
• Completing wellbeing assessments
• Preparing private law reports

This role is ideal for a social worker who is passionate about child protection, enjoys working collaboratively, and thrives in a dynamic, supportive environment.

Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker (HCPC registered / Social Work England)
• Experience in children’s social care and safeguarding
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
