Children's Social Worker - Family Support & Protection Team

Location: Rochdale
Rate: £39.00 per hour Umbrella / £30.58 per hour PAYE
Contract: 3 Months Initial Contract with a Strong Likelihood of Extension

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Children's Social Worker to join the Family Support & Protection Team at Rochdale Council.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a busy local authority team committed to safeguarding children and supporting families to achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing a caseload of children and families in need of support and protection.
• Undertaking Child and Family Assessments.
• Completing Child in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children work.
• Developing and reviewing care and support plans.
• Working closely with partner agencies to safeguard children and promote welfare.
• Attending case conferences, core groups, and court proceedings where required.
• Maintaining accurate and timely case records.

Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification.
• Registered with Social Work England.
• Recent experience within Children's Social Care, preferably within a Family Support, Safeguarding, or Child Protection setting.
• Strong assessment, report-writing, and communication skills.
