Children's Social Worker - Safeguarding & Care Planning Team

Service Care Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Children's Social Worker to join the Safeguarding & Care Planning Team within a Local Authority in Oldham.

This is a 3-month temporary contract with strong potential for extension, offering an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive children's services team dedicated to safeguarding vulnerable children and improving outcomes for families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of children subject to Child Protection Plans, Child in Need Plans, and Care Proceedings.
• Complete assessments, reviews, and care plans in accordance with statutory requirements.
• Work collaboratively with children, families, schools, health professionals, and partner agencies.
• Prepare reports for court proceedings, conferences, and reviews.
• Ensure safeguarding concerns are identified, assessed, and managed effectively.

Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification.
• Registered with Social Work England.
• Recent experience within Children's Safeguarding, Child Protection, or Care Planning teams.
• Strong assessment, report writing, and case management skills.
• Previous Local Authority experience is desirable.

Contract Details:

• 3 Month Temporary Contract
• Likely extension available
• Based in Oldham

Pay Rates:

• £39.00 per hour Umbrella
• £30.50 per hour PAYE
