Contract Type: Temporary (3 months)
Hours:  Full time (37 hours)
Salary: 15.66 per hour (Umbrella)
Shift times: 09:30-22:00/ 09:30- 23:00- sleep- 07:00-10:00. Week 1- Mon/ Thu/ Sun. Week 2- Wed/ Sat. Week 3- Tue/ Fri
About the Role: You will support two young females (aged 15 and 17) who have experienced exploitation. The role involves fostering positive relationships, maintaining a safe and stimulating environment, and being a proactive part of a dedicated team. You’ll be expected to commit to a minimum 6-week rota and may occasionally wake up at work on your first day off.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a key worker, implementing care plans and conducting risk assessments
  • Provide personal care and emotional support
  • Maintain accurate and GDPR-compliant records
  • Manage challenging behaviour using restorative approaches
  • Administer medication in line with policy
  • Lead and participate in planning activities for young people
  • Supervise and appraise staff, and contribute to recruitment and training
  • Liaise with professionals and families to sustain support networks
  • Take responsibility for the home in the absence of senior management
Experience & Knowledge
  • Experience working with young people or vulnerable adults with emotional or behavioural difficulties
  • Ability to build strong relationships and engage positively
  • Skilled in conflict resolution and de-escalation
  • Understanding of safeguarding and restorative practices
Skills & Competencies
  • Chatty, bubbly, and reliable personality
  • Good sense of humour and team spirit
  • Adaptability and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Additional Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Registered Childcare (essential)
  • Social work qualification (desirable but not essential)
  • Driver (desirable but not essential)
  • Willingness to work sleep-in shifts and flexible rota
