About the Role:

About the Role:
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) is seeking motivated Cleaning Supervisors to manage their cleaning teams across multiple sites. You will ensure high cleaning standards, supervise staff, provide training, and maintain health and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise cleaning staff, allocate tasks, and monitor performance.
- Conduct inductions and provide ongoing training in cleaning methods, equipment, and health & safety.
- Manage attendance, rota planning, and cover for holidays or sickness.
- Monitor cleaning budgets, stock, and supplies.
- Carry out site visits and quality checks to ensure standards are met.
- Maintain equipment and ensure safe use of chemicals in line with COSHH regulations.
- Liaise with staff, Facilities Managers, and other stakeholders.
Essential skills and experience:
- Previous experience supervising cleaning teams.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, machinery, and materials.
- Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to conduct health & safety audits and manage staff performance.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business purposes.
- Fit to carry out duties including walking, bending, and lifting.
