Service Care Legal are working on behalf of a highly reputable law firm in London who are seeking a Commercial Property Lawyer to join them on a contract basis. This full-time hybrid role offers exposure to a wide range of transactional property matters and the chance to contribute meaningfully to public sector legal services.
Job Title: Commercial Property Entry Level Lawyer
Rate: £37.88ph umbrella / £33.57ph PAYE inc. holiday pay / £29.96ph PAYE exc. holiday pay
Location: Hybrid (Westminster City Council & Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea)
Contract Type: 3 months, 36 hours per week
Please note this would require office attendance 2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver client-focused legal services in commercial property law during a period of maternity leave.
- Maintain strong client relationships and act as a trusted legal advisor to Westminster City Council and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
- Lead, advise on, and prepare legal documentation related to commercial property transactions in the context of local authority law and practice.
- Manage an existing caseload and take on new transactional work as allocated.
- Demonstrate awareness of and adherence to internal processes including decision-making protocols, time recording, and case management systems.
- A candidate with a genuine interest in commercial property law and a desire to grow within a local authority legal environment.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Awareness of public sector legal frameworks and procedures.
- Qualifications & Memberships Appropriate legal qualifications.
- Membership of the Law Society or CILEx.
