Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of Nottingham City Council for a Communications Engagement Officer to join their Families First team on an initial contract.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative and driven communications professional to play a key role in connecting families, young people, and communities with vital support services.
The Role As a Communications Engagement Officer, you will lead on developing and delivering impactful communication strategies that promote Families First services. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure messaging is engaging, inclusive, and reaches the communities who need it most.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging communications to promote Families First services
- Create accessible content across digital, print, and social media platforms
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders including schools, VCSE organisations, health services, police, and community groups
- Coordinate and deliver community engagement activities such as events, workshops, and campaigns
- Capture and amplify the voices of families and young people to inform service development
- Support internal communications to ensure consistent messaging across teams
- Monitor and evaluate engagement activities, using data and feedback to improve outcomes
- Champion inclusive and culturally sensitive communication practices
- Collaborate with service leads and partners to align messaging with programme objectives
- Contribute to strategic planning and future outreach initiatives
- Proven experience in communications, engagement, or community outreach roles
- Strong content creation skills across multiple platforms
- Experience working with diverse communities and stakeholders
- Ability to build relationships and engage effectively with a wide range of audiences
- Passion for improving outcomes for children, young people, and families
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
