Community Engagement and Development Lead
Location: Yorkshire & Humber Region (Hybrid and home working)The role will be Hybrid – working from home, out in the community delivering and attending events/networking, with some travel to Sunderland for team meetings at the Charities head office.
Salary: £27,000 per annum (£14.80 per hour)
Hours: 35 hours per week (flexibility for evenings/weekends required)

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in raising awareness of gambling-related harms, building community partnerships, and supporting individuals across Yorkshire & Humber.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver community provision for the Gambling Service.
- Build and sustain relationships with stakeholders, community partners, and local networks.
- Deliver training to professionals and communities to identify problem gambling and promote referral pathways.
- Support and grow a network of Community Champions across the region.
- Organise and deliver campaigns, drop-ins, and public awareness events.
- Provide advice, brief interventions, and extended brief interventions to those affected.
- Maintain accurate records and provide reports on delivery, outcomes, and impact.
- Map community services and identify opportunities to strengthen referral pathways.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative ways for communities to engage with the service.
- Promote the service in a variety of settings, ensuring safeguarding, confidentiality, and quality standards are upheld.
- Experience in community engagement, partnership development, or training delivery.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, equality and inclusion, and community or health services.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage stakeholder relationships.
- A minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant field (health & social care, community work, education, mental health, health promotion).
- Flexibility to travel across the Yorkshire & Humber region.
- £27,000 per annum / £14.80 per hour.
