Unpaid Work Supervisor / Community Payback Supervisor – Southampton

£22.89 & £34.33 | 6 Month Contract | 37 Hours/Week

Service Care Solutions is recruiting an experienced Unpaid Work Supervisor (Community Payback Supervisor) to join a busy probation team in Southampton on an initial 6-month contract.
This is a hands-on operational role supervising offenders completing Unpaid Work requirements as part of their community sentence — helping deliver reparative work that benefits the local community while supporting rehabilitation.

The Role:

• Supervise groups of service users undertaking Unpaid Work placements safely and effectively
• Deliver structured, purposeful work programmes in line with National Standards
• Complete accurate attendance, behaviour, and progress records
• Enforce breach procedures where non-compliance occurs
• Promote a safe, disciplined, and rehabilitative working environment
• Liaise with Probation Practitioners on individual case management

Details:

• Location: Southampton
• Contract Length: 6 months
• Hours: 37 hours/week across 4 days (9.25 hours/day)
• Working Pattern: Fully site-based — no flexible or remote working available

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience supervising Unpaid Work / Community Payback placements (essential)
• Confident managing groups in outdoor/practical work settings
• Strong understanding of risk management, safeguarding, and enforcement processes
• Full UK driving licence (own vehicle often required for tool/equipment transport)
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to undergo one)
