Contract Type: Temporary (3 months)
Hours: Full time (37 hours)
Salary: £22.00 per hour (Umbrella - £24.50 per hour)
Additional: Unable to offer sponsorship. Must have full UK driving license
About the Role
The Community Resource Worker (CRW) provides support services for children and families from birth up to 18 years, working within legal frameworks, policies, and procedures. The role involves partnership working with other professionals and responding to children and families in crisis to ensure safeguarding needs are met.

About the Role
The Community Resource Worker (CRW) provides support services for children and families from birth up to 18 years, working within legal frameworks, policies, and procedures. The role involves partnership working with other professionals and responding to children and families in crisis to ensure safeguarding needs are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake direct work with children, young people, and families, using appropriate interventions such as family learning, parenting programs, life story work, and group work.
- Co-work assessments of need, devise and implement plans, and review regularly.
- Ensure participation of children and young people in assessments, plans, and reviews.
- Support and monitor family contact, including transitions between placements.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for meetings and court as required.
- Work collaboratively with other agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
- Support duty cover and on-call duties as needed.
- Promote the service through marketing and community engagement.
- Contribute to team meetings, service development, and support students/trainees.
- Engage in supervision, appraisal, and professional development activities.
- Minimum of 2 years’ continuous experience working with children and young people.
- Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures within Children’s Services.
- Ability to record accurate information and write reports using electronic systems.
- Understanding child and young person development, including diverse needs.
- Experience supporting transitions and integrated working with professionals.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Effective communication and engagement with children, young people, and families.
- Ability to build trust, listen empathetically, and use clear language.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Commitment to equality, dignity, and respect in all interactions.
- Level 4 NVQ in working with children or equivalent qualification (e.g., relevant degree, DipSW, RGN, Teaching, Youth and Community).
- Enhanced DBS check required.
- Ability to work unsocial hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Must meet the Government’s Fluency in English Duty (Advanced threshold).
