Consultant Paediatrician – ASD Assessments Leatherhead, Surrey | £333.33 Per Assessment | Outside IR35 We are currently recruiting for Consultant Paediatricians to support an established CYP Assessment Service delivering face-to-face ASD assessments for children and young people across Surrey and Hampshire.

About the Role As a Consultant Paediatrician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality ASD assessments as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting face-to-face ASD assessments for children and young people.
- Observing children and young people during MDT assessment sessions.
- Ensuring all questions and interactions are age-appropriate, compassionate and child-centred.
- Reviewing ADOS reports, developmental history and relevant information from home and school.
- Contributing to the diagnostic formulation and reaching an appropriate clinical conclusion.
- Providing clear and compassionate feedback to families following assessment.
- Providing appropriate recommendations and signposting to relevant local and national resources.
- Completing detailed, high-quality diagnostic reports within 48 hours of assessment, in line with DSM-5 criteria and the required reporting templates.
- Requesting onward referrals where clinically appropriate and in accordance with local NHS Trust/ICB protocols.
- Location: Leatherhead, Surrey
- Assessment type: Face-to-face only
- Rate: £333.33 per assessment
- Sessions: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
- Hours: 9am–5pm
- Up to 4 assessments per day
- Contract: Self-employed / Outside IR35
- Weekend availability may also be available.
- Additional face-to-face opportunities may be available in Canterbury and Basingstoke.
- GMC registration with a valid licence to practise.
- Consultant status with CCT.
- Ideally, inclusion on the Specialist Register.
- Previous experience and confidence in delivering ASD assessments for children and young people.
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary clinical environment.
- Up-to-date appraisal and revalidation.
- Appropriate professional indemnity insurance for self-employed work.
- A commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care.
- £333.33 per completed assessment
- Flexible self-employed working arrangement.
- Outside IR35.
- Up to 4 assessments per day.
- Regular Tuesday–Thursday clinics.
- Additional weekend opportunities.
- Face-to-face assessment work in established clinical settings.
- Regular clinical supervision.

- AI-supported transcription and report-writing assistance.

- Full referencing covering the previous 3 years.
- Evidence of the right to live and work in the UK.

- GMC Responsible Officer details.
