We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Contact Worker to join our Children’s Services – Safeguarding & Services to Children and Young People, within Specialist Support Services. This is an exciting opportunity to support children and their families by supervising contact sessions, providing direct support, and helping families work towards positive outcomes.

What you’ll do:
- Supervise contact between children and their families as part of assessments, plans, or reviews.
- Support children, parents, and carers through direct work and encouragement.
- Empower families to meet their children’s needs.
- Collaborate with other agencies as part of the ‘team around the family’.
- Work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of children and families.
- Provide transport for children when required.
- Keep accurate records and reports of each supervised contact.
- Work closely with Safeguarding Children and Families Social Workers to support agreed plans.
- A caring and professional approach with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work outside of normal office hours, including one weekend per month.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and proactive in your work.
