Contracts and Procurement Solicitor

Service Care Solutions is currently recruiting for an experienced Contracts and Procurement Solicitor to join a well-established Local Authority in Leicestershire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional with significant local government experience and strong expertise in public procurement and commercial contracts to take on a key advisory role within a dynamic public sector environment.

Contract Length: 3 Months Rolling
Rate Umbrella: £50-£55ph
PAYE (inc.Hol): £44.50 - £48.89ph

Responsibilities as a Contracts and Procurement Solicitor:

• Provide comprehensive legal advice to officers, members, and senior stakeholders on public procurement and commercial contract matters.
• Advise on and manage procurements conducted under the Procurement Act 2023 (PA23) and associated regulations.
• Support complex, high-value, and high-risk procurement exercises from planning through to award and implementation.

About you as a Contracts and Procurement Solicitor:

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Fellow of CILEX with a current practising certificate in England & Wales.
• Significant experience within a Local Authority legal team, advising on contracts and public procurement matters
• Strong working knowledge of public sector governance frameworks and decision-making processes.
