Service Care Legal are working with a local authority in Bedfordshire to recruit a Solicitor with experience in contracts and procurement. Please find below further details:
 
ROLE:                  Contracts & Procurement Solicitor
LOCATION:         Fully remote / Bedfordshire
CONTRACT:        3 months with possibility of extension, full-time or part-time
RATE:                   £50-60ph LTD / £52.81ph PAYE inc. holiday pay / £47.12ph exc. holiday pay
 
The Role
 

• Provide legal advice on procurement, contracts, and governance matters
• Draft and negotiate legal documents such as agreements, notices, and amendments
• Support compliance with UK and EU procurement laws
• Advise on legal frameworks and policies related to contracts and procurement
• Handle a caseload of complex legal issues independently

Candidate Profile

• Qualified solicitor, barrister, or CILEX Fellow, with current practising certificate or ability to obtain one
• Previous local authority experience would be essential for this role
• Experience in local government law, contracts, and procurement issues
• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines independently
• Knowledge of UK/EU procurement laws and local government legal frameworks
