Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a leading law firm in the West Midlands for a Credit Controller to join the team on a permanent basis. The postholder will be required to work in a team responsible for proactively managing and reducing debt.

Job Description
Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a leading law firm in the West Midlands for a Credit Controller to join the team on a permanent basis. The postholder will be required to work in a team responsible for proactively managing and reducing debt.
Key Responsibilities
- Reducing aged debt via management of debtor balances.
- Regular written and verbal contact with debtors once payments are overdue, and timely query resolutions.
- Taking and issuing receipts on-site and over the telephone.
- Posting items to ledgers.
- Preparing statements and breakdowns of accounts.
- Issuing Court proceedings for unpaid debts.
- Where necessary, helping wider accounts team with recording of receipts and payments, as well as processing of payments using HSBCnet.
- At least 2 years’ experience in credit control.
- Proficient in IT.
- Great communicator and negotiator.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of and ability to clearly explain financial matters.
- Able to work to deadlines.
- Clear basic DBS check.
- 29 days holiday including 8 bank holidays and the day after boxing day.
- Your birthday off.
- Where the firm achieves an increase of over 10% profit from the previous year, staff will receive a bonus of £500-£1,000. Eligibility rules apply.
- Pension contributions are 3% employer and 5% employee.
