We are currently recruiting for a Damp, Mould & Condensation Surveyor to join a leading Housing Association, delivering a customer-focused surveying service across North Somerset and Bristol.
This is a project-focused role where you will take ownership of damp and mould cases from initial inspection through to completion, ensuring works are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard. You will work closely with internal teams, contractors, and residents to manage repairs, resolve issues, and maintain excellent service delivery.
The role is based out of Portishead, with travel across North Somerset and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities
- Manage damp, mould, and condensation cases from inception to completion
- Conduct property inspections, identify defects, and diagnose building pathology
- Produce detailed reports, specifications, and schedules of work
- Project manage works, ensuring delivery to time, cost, and quality standards
- Oversee contractors and ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations
- Manage HHSRS-related cases and disrepair claims
- Carry out post-inspections and quality assurance checks
- Provide technical support across repairs, voids, and asset management teams
- Engage with residents and stakeholders, ensuring excellent customer service
- Proven experience managing multiple technical building projects
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety, including CDM regulations
- Experience with HHSRS and relevant compliance/legislation
- Working knowledge of Schedule of Rates
- Formal building qualification (RICS accredited, HNC, HND, or degree)
- Experience across asset management, responsive repairs, voids, and planned works
- Ability to identify asbestos and understand associated risks
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook)
- Excellent organisational and decision-making skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Additional qualifications (e.g. CSTDB, Fire Safety)
- H&S qualifications (IOSH, NCRQ, etc.)
- Experience delivering planned works or void programmes within social housing
