Decorator – Healthy Homes
South East: Bracknell, Windsor, Slough, Ascot and surrounding areas
3-month temporary contract | £23.37 per hour
Annual salary equivalent: £34,598.26

We are recruiting for an experienced Decorator to join a leading housing provider’s Healthy Homes team on a 3-month temporary contract.

This is a customer-facing role focused on improving the condition, safety and comfort of residents’ homes. You will carry out mould treatments, ventilation surveys and high-quality redecoration works across occupied social housing properties.

Responsibilities

• Complete mould treatments, ventilation surveys and associated decorating works.
• Deliver high-quality, right-first-time repairs within customers’ homes.
• Carry out all aspects of decorating, ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Keep residents informed throughout works and provide excellent customer service.
• Manage materials effectively and complete jobs within agreed timescales.
• Work closely with colleagues to maintain and improve homes across the patch.
• Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota when required.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Decorator, ideally within social housing or occupied properties.
• Experience dealing with damp and mould-related works would be highly desirable.
• Strong customer service skills and a professional, respectful approach in residents’ homes.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Must provide your own hand and power tools.

A company van, fuel card, uniform, PPE, tablet and mobile phone will be provided.
