Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Disrepair Surveyor on behalf of a West of England based Council.
The successful candidate will manage housing disrepair claims from start to finish, carrying out inspections, diagnosing defects and overseeing repairs to ensure that legal claims are resolved quickly and effectively.

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Disrepair Surveyor on behalf of a West of England based Council.
The successful candidate will manage housing disrepair claims from start to finish, carrying out inspections, diagnosing defects and overseeing repairs to ensure that legal claims are resolved quickly and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Investigate housing disrepair claims and undertake detailed property inspections
- Diagnose defects and specify appropriate remedial works
- Manage cases from initial complaint through to completion
- Oversee contractors and monitor the quality and progress of works
- Produce technical reports, schedules of work and witness statements
- Liaise with legal teams regarding housing condition claims and litigation
- Manage compensation recommendations in line with Housing Ombudsman guidance
- Maintain communication with tenants throughout the process
- Ensure repairs are completed within agreed timescales and budgets
- Previous experience working as a Surveyor within housing repairs or disrepair
- Strong knowledge of building defects, repairs and maintenance
- Experience managing disrepair claims and contractor performance
- Ability to produce technical reports and legal witness statements
- Good understanding of housing legislation and complaints procedures
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
