Experienced Gardener & Housekeeper Couple – HNW Private Family

Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a High-Net-Worth private family in Jersey who are seeking an experienced and highly professional Gardener and Housekeeper couple to join their household on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an established couple with strong private household, estate, horticultural and housekeeping experience to become part of a prestigious family environment.

Accommodation will be provided, making this an attractive long-term opportunity for the right couple.

The Gardener The Gardener will be responsible for maintaining the private grounds and gardens to an exceptionally high standard, ensuring the estate remains immaculate, well-presented and seasonally maintained.

Core Horticultural Duties:

• Prune fine flora, shape hedges and maintain seasonal flower displays.
• Mow, edge, aerate and feed high-standard lawns and turf.
• Maintain kitchen and glasshouse gardens, including organic vegetables, cut flowers and orchard fruits for household use.
• Monitor plant health and identify pests and diseases.
• Apply appropriate horticultural treatments safely and responsibly.
• Maintain planting schemes and ensure gardens are presented to an exceptional standard.

Estate & Asset Maintenance:

• Program, monitor and repair automated irrigation systems.
• Clean and maintain patios, pathways and driveways.
• Maintain hard landscaping, paths and water features.
• Safely operate and maintain commercial gardening machinery, including mowers, trimmers and tractors.
• Carry out routine checks and basic servicing of estate equipment.

Private Service Expectations:

• Maintain complete discretion and confidentiality regarding the family, their personal lives and property.
• Work closely with estate managers, private chefs and other household staff.
• Assist with basic security checks and general estate duties when required.
• Provide pet care assistance or vehicle upkeep when requested.
• Maintain a flexible and professional approach to supporting the wider household.

The Housekeeper The Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining the private residence to an exceptional standard, with particular attention to fine finishes, valuable items, wardrobe care and overall household presentation.

Cleaning & Specialised Care:

• Clean and protect fine surfaces including marble, granite, hardwood and antique finishes.
• Polish and care for silver, brass and other high-value household items.
• Safely clean and maintain fine art, delicate ornaments and valuable artefacts.
• Manage couture garments, silk, cashmere and bespoke clothing.
• Carry out luxury laundry, ironing and garment-care duties to a high standard.
• Ensure guest bedrooms and living areas are consistently prepared to an exceptional standard.

Organisation & Household Management:

• Monitor household inventories and replenish pantry items, luxury toiletries and general supplies.
• Receive and coordinate deliveries.
• Welcome and oversee external contractors and tradespeople attending the property.
• Complete grocery shopping, dry-cleaning collections and other household errands.
• Assist with general administrative tasks when required.

Estate Coordination & Discretion:

• Work effectively alongside private chefs, nannies, estate managers and other household staff.
• Ensure the property is secure and prepared for the family's arrival and guests.
• Set alarms and carry out routine property security checks.
• Maintain guest accommodation and entertaining areas to the required standard.
• Maintain absolute confidentiality regarding the family's personal affairs, visitors and estate.

About You The successful couple will ideally have previous experience working within private households, luxury estates, HNW/UHNW environments, country estates or similar high-standard settings.

• Have a flexible and hands-on approach to their duties.
• Are trustworthy, reliable and able to work independently.
• Have excellent attention to detail.
• Are comfortable undertaking additional reasonable duties when required.
• Hold a Full UK Driving Licence – driving vehicles is an important part of the position.

Salary & Accommodation £80,000 combined annual salary for the right couple, dependent on experience and suitability.

Accommodation will be provided.
