Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Team Manager to join the Duty & Assessment Team at Oxfordshire County Council on a temporary ongoing contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior social worker or existing assistant team manager to join a fast-paced frontline service, supporting social workers with assessments, safeguarding interventions, and decision-making to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.

- Contract: Temporary ongoing
- Working Pattern: Full-time, Monday to Friday
- Hybrid Working: 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home
- Pay Rate:
- £42.00 per hour Umbrella
- £32.91 per hour PAYE Exclusive
- Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
- Previous experience within a Duty & Assessment Team
- Experience managing complex child protection and safeguarding cases
- Strong knowledge of statutory children's social care legislation and procedures
- Experience supervising and supporting social workers is desirable
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred
- Supporting the Team Manager with the day-to-day running of the service
- Providing supervision, guidance, and support to social workers
- Overseeing assessments, safeguarding enquiries, and child protection work
- Ensuring timely decision-making and effective risk management
- Maintaining high standards of practice and compliance
- Working closely with partner agencies to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes
