Bury Council is expanding its Early Help service and is recruiting multiple Early Help Practitioners to join their Children & Young People teams. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real and lasting impact on the lives of vulnerable children, young people, and families across the borough.

About the Role As an Early Help Practitioner, you will:
- Work directly with children, young people, and families experiencing complex and multiple challenges.
- Hold your own caseload and complete whole-family assessments using evidence-based tools.
- Co-produce outcome-focused support plans and deliver hands-on practical interventions.
- Champion the voice of the child in all planning and recording.
- Work collaboratively with partners across education, health, social care, and the community.
- Lead or support multi-agency reviews and group-based programmes.
- Promote parenting skills and support the development of Bury’s Family Hub model.
- Work flexibly within the community, supporting families where and when they need it.
- Level 3 qualification (or above) in Health, Social Care or a related field.
- Significant experience working with vulnerable children and families.
- Experience assessing, planning and delivering support in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, child development, attachment theory, ACEs and risk-taking behaviours.
- Ability to work creatively, collaboratively, and independently.
- Flexibility to work outside normal office hours when required.
- Experience delivering evidence-based programmes or group interventions.
- Graded Care Profile 2 training.
- Experience facilitating family group meetings.
