Location: Agile working – based at Town Hall, Hornton Street, Kensington (may work across Westminster & RBKC under Bi-Borough arrangements)
Salary: £303.08 per day (Umbrella)
Hours: 36 hours per week
Contract: Initially 3 months, full-time

We are seeking a motivated SEN EHC Needs Assessment & Review Coordinator to join our Education, Health, and Care (EHC) Service. You will play a key role in supporting children and young people aged 0–25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

The Role
We are seeking a motivated SEN EHC Needs Assessment & Review Coordinator to join our Education, Health, and Care (EHC) Service. You will play a key role in supporting children and young people aged 0–25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a complex caseload of children and young people with EHCPs.
- Draft high-quality, person-centred, and outcome-focused EHC Plans.
- Process annual reviews within statutory timeframes.
- Coordinate multi-agency input across education, health, and social care, maintaining strong relationships with families, schools, and professionals.
- Oversee caseloads including Looked After Children and young people transitioning into adult provision.
- Manage high-cost out-of-borough placements and arrangements for children educated otherwise than at school.
- Ensure all EHC assessments are completed within statutory 20-week deadlines.
- Support tribunal case preparation, complaint responses, and service improvement initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of the Children & Families Act 2014, SEND Code of Practice, and related legislation.
- Experience in SEND casework or local authority education services.
- Excellent organisational skills, able to prioritise competing tasks effectively.
- Confident in building relationships with families, schools, and multi-agency partners.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to inclusive practice and improving outcomes for children and young people.
- Degree-level qualification required; SEND-related qualifications desirable.
