Worcestershire County Council is seeking an experienced and motivated EHCP Coordinator to join its SEND Casework Team, supporting children and young people aged 0–25 with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND).

You will work closely with families, schools, health professionals and social care colleagues to ensure children and young people receive the right support and experience smooth transitions through different phases of education.
The Role As an EHCP Coordinator, you will:
- Manage a caseload of EHCPs and act as the named Local Authority contact for families
- Produce high-quality, child-centred EHCPs within statutory timescales
- Coordinate multi-agency advice and consultations
- Prepare for and attend EHCP-related meetings and panels
- Amend and review EHCPs to ensure provision remains appropriate
- Approve funding up to E1 level and consider transport implications
- Build strong, professional relationships with families, schools and partner agencies
- Ensure all case recording and documentation is accurate and up to date
- Support children and young people to achieve positive outcomes and prepare for adulthood
- Degree-level qualification in teaching, social care, childcare, psychology, or equivalent experience
- Significant experience working with children and young people with SEND
- Strong working knowledge of SEND legislation and the SEND Code of Practice
- Experience of working with families, schools and multi-agency partners
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and statutory deadlines
- Commitment to inclusive practice and safeguarding
- Experience working within a Local Authority SEND service
- Direct experience supporting children with SEND in education settings
- Evidence of continued professional development in a SEND or educational environment
- 35 hours per week
- Flexibility required, with occasional work outside core office hours
- Ability to travel across Worcestershire
- Flexible and agile working arrangements
