Electrical Tester

We’re recruiting for an experienced Electrical Tester to join an established Housing Association, working as part of their in-house Property Services team across Redhill and the surrounding areas.

Working across the organisation's housing stock, you'll predominantly carry out electrical testing, EICRs, remedial works and repairs within occupied and void residential properties.


What you'll be doing
 

• Carrying out EICRs across occupied and void social housing properties
• Completing electrical testing, inspection and certification
• Diagnosing electrical faults and carrying out necessary repairs
• Completing remedial works identified through testing
• Carrying out consumer unit replacements and upgrades
• Completing responsive electrical repairs and planned maintenance works
• Producing accurate, NICEIC-compliant certification
• Ensuring all work meets current electrical regulations and safety standards
• Updating jobs, certificates and work orders using a handheld device
• Providing a professional and respectful service when working in residents' homes
• Participating in the out-of-hours call-out rota

What we're looking for

You'll need to be an experienced and qualified Electrician with a strong background in inspection and testing.








Essential:
 

• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• 2391 / 2394 / 2395 Inspection & Testing qualification
• Previous experience completing EICRs
• Strong fault-finding and remedial repair experience
• Full UK Driving Licence

Previous experience working within social housing, domestic maintenance, local authority or housing association properties would be advantageous.
